2. I have responded to and/or applied for several domestic positions, but have yet to be hired. What has gone wrong?
You may be passed up for any number of reasons. Each family is unique, as is their search and hiring criteria. Perhaps this would be an ideal time to review your material. Is your resume professional and easy to understand? Is your wage goal reflective of current trends and industry averages? Do you have the experience to back up your proclaimed skill set? This is a very competitive industry. The best piece of advice we can give you is to be yourself. You may grow as a professional and learn new things, but don't pretend to be someone you're not - no one will gain from this in the long run. Be persistent and remain professional. Use all your resources and learn from every experience.

3. What is my commitment to Home Details once I register?
The relationship between Home Details and Job Seekers is one of mutual advocacy. We do not hold an exclusive contract with you and you are free to network with other agencies and recruiters, as any professional seeking employment would do. Once you register with us, you will have the full resources of Home Details available to you, including our networking capabilities. From time to time, we may even refer you to another agency if we become aware of a job they are posting you would be suited for. However, once we present your information to our client, a great deal of work and communication has taken place. We do not bombard our clients with resume and after resume. We are very selective and trust that the "process" of talking and sharing information will determine the top candidates to present. If and when you are presented to a client, we expect that you have thought about this opportunity and are ready to commit to an in-person interview and are seriously considering the job opportunity. Our agreements are between our colleagues and clients, not Job Seekers, yet, as an agency, we are only as good as the candidates we represent. We expend a tremendous amount of resources in recruiting, screening, nourishing relationships, profiling, and representing candidates. We expect that Job Seekers who work with us will not undermine the relationships we build by making separate agreements that would harm our business. In short, we respect and expect your integrity - we ask that you do the same.

5. How much will this cost me?
Job Seekers are responsible for pulling their own driving record from the DOL, which is currently $10.00. The primary cost for any Job Seekers is the investment of time. Home Details does not pay you for your interview time. While we will do everything in our power to streamline the interviewing process without compromising quality, you must be willing to invest the time needed.

10. I'm a parent myself, and would like to find domestic employment in which my own child is welcome to accompany me. What are my chances?
Most clients are not open to the idea of a Nanny bringing their own child to work. If you are a Nanny who wishes to bring your own child to work, we suggest incorporating information about your son or daughter in your resume/presentation. Tell the hiring family WHY allowing you to bring your child to work would be a benefit to them. People fear things that are a bit new or ill defined. The more information you can provide, the better your chances of locating a perfect family match.
